The Heritage Museum is in the middle of their
Glamorous 30’s and 40’s Christmas Photo Exhibit. There’s only two weeks
left in the series, before it’s over for the year.
Santa Claus is here! He showed up in town a little
early to take down Christmas wishes from boys and girls age ten and under at
Spring Town Plaza. Tonight, Professional Photographer Bruce Schooler will be
on hand to take pictures of kids with Santa from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Also tonight, the Big Spring Chamber of
Commerce is holding a Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the Grand Opening of The
Crowned Bird, at 406 Marcy Drive, scheduled for 4:30 PM!
Howard College is holding their Luminaria event
tonight, 5:30 PM at the Big Spring campus. They’ll have Cookies and Hot
Cocoa, Christmas Music from the Hawk Band, and Howie the Hawk! Plus, at 6:00
PM Santa is expected to make an appearance! You can bring a camera to get
pictures with Santa and Howie, and also canned food will be accepted as part
of the Phi Theta Kappa Food Drive, with all donations going towards the
Salvation Army. If the weather takes a turn for the worst, they’re planning
to move the event inside the Student Union Building.
Howard College also has their Hawk Buddies
Basketball Program coming up this Saturday. The $20 registration fee covers
a Hawk Basketball, the clinic from 9:00 AM to Noon, a Pizza Party, Buddies
Night with the Lady Hawks, and free admission for all family members to Hawk

The Downtown Revitalization
Association is planning to hold their 3rd
annual Christmas on Main Street celebration! It will take place Saturday,
after the annual Christmas Parade.
The Heritage Museum will be
having Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, as well as a Parade Watch later

First United Methodist Church is holding a performance of The Living
Christmas Tree this weekend! Dress Rehearsal is Saturday at 3:00, with no
tickets required. The performances begin at 8:00 PM, on Saturday and Sunday.
Admission is free, but they do need reservations ahead to time, as seating
is limited. You can get your free tickets from the church, by calling them
